Early Years Montessori Curriculum
Our Montessori-based approach encourages independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. Key elements include:
Children choose activities within a prepared environment, fostering curiosity and self-motivation.
Children refine their senses and cognitive abilities through classification, comparison, and pattern recognition.
Each child is encouraged to progress at their own pace in a supportive and respectful atmosphere.

At the soul of our Montessori early years and Kindergarten program is Dr. Maria Montessori’s affirmation research, which emphasizes the importance of fostering independence and individualized learning in young children. From our MYEP through kindergarten, our classrooms are carefully prepared environments where the children are guided and encouraged to explore at their own pace, make choices, and develop a love for learning.
Our classrooms are equipped with Montessori hands-on activities and guided discovery, each child builds confidence, concentration, and critical thinking skills—laying a strong foundation for lifelong success.
HMES offers half-day options with some No School Fridays, for MYEP and Kindergarten students, providing families with flexible scheduling to meet their individual needs.
