Governance

The Hillcrest Montessori Academy (HMA) is operated by the Fort McMurray Montessori Foundation, a non-profit society. The Board Directors of the Foundation are responsible for developing the goals and policies that guide the educational services provided to students attending the school.

The Board operates within the standards required by Alberta government legislation and the values of the electorate. They have a public responsibility to carry out their duties and the work of the Board in good faith and with diligence. The responsibilities of the Board members include overseeing the operation and governance of the school, ensuring financial accountability, and promoting student success.
